How does laser hair removal work? | |
Laser hair removal is used both by male and female customers. The principle behind this type of hair removal system is that the laser is drawn to the darker parts of the skin and these parts are heated so that further hair growth is not possible. The laser hair removal system damages the hair follicles permanently.
The disadvantage of laser hair removal is that it does not have identical results for all people. The best results can be achieved when the subject that is having laser hair removal has a rather fair skin and dark hair. In addition, it does not remove 100% percent of the hair even with the previously mentioned combination.
Furthermore, laser hair removal needs multiple sessions, depending on the amount of hair that you have and the strength of each hair but mainly the number of sessions necessary is between 6- 8 with approximately 8- 12 weeks between each of them. For some people it is necessary to get follow up treatments after the initial set generally about once a year.
Laser hair removal is not suitable for everybody and there have been cases when people do not response to that treatment. So it is recommended to start laser hair removal with a small area of your body to see the response and then move on to elsewhere.
