is it hygenic to"double-dip" with the applicators, knowing that the wax is not changed between clients?

It strikes me as extremely unsanitary for the hygenist to dip, apply, and then dip again using the same applicator. The wax is not changed between clients, so it leads me to think that the wax has the potential for being a breeding ground for bacteria. Any thoughts?
