your hairs should be atleast a quarter of an inch long. Also, make sure your hair isnt too long either. If its too long (or too short) it will hurt much more! If u have been shaving, u should definitely wait two weeks without shaving so the hair is perfect length. I truly believe the length of the hair is key essential in determining how painful it will be.
